Deaths by guns

Homicide 11,599
Suicide 16,859
Accidents 752

In other words, you are more likely to kill yourself with a gun than be murdered by one.

Also, you are at least four times more likely to die in a car accident that to be murdered by a gun.

It is easy to say we should ban guns, but if we do that, we should ban a host of other things we use daily.

Let’s ban junk food. No more soda. No more cookies. No more fast food restaurants.

Let’s ban tobacco and alcohol.

Let’s ban cars.

Let’s ban depressed people so that they can no longer kill themselves.

Banning a substance, object, or idea is not what we should do in a free society. We need to educate.
