Gore on Iraq: 'Worst Strategic Mistake' in US History

Al Gore just proved he is the dumbest man to win the popular vote in a presidential election in American history.

Calling the Iraq war "the worst strategic mistake in the entire history of the United States" and "worse than a civil war," former Vice President Gore urged President Bush to find a way to get U.S. troops out of Iraq "as quickly as possible without making the situation worse" while appearing this morning on NBC’s "Today."

Here is a list of decisions in American history that I believe are worse than the decision to invade Iraq:

1. Slavery

2. Japanese interment camps

3. The 16th amendment

4. The Vietnam War

5. The Waco Massacre

6. Seccession

7. The Trail of Tears

8. Dred Scott

9. Roe V. Wade

10. WNBA

These are just decisions that we can all agree on. There are dozens of other bad decisions that could be debated as to whether or not they were worse than the decision to invade Iraq.

I couldn’t possibly understand where Gore is coming from on this one.

I believe this is one of the worst mistakes in US History, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it is "the worst mistake in US History". I, too, don't understand why he said THAT -- perhaps he's really upset and made an error.

Also, half of that stuff you said were mistakes are not mistakes -- maybe not half, but a lot of them were not mistakes.

Moreover, Affirmative Action is a good thing. Only those who don't understand it refer to it as a bad thing.

lol...i'm guessing you are talking about the 16th amendment and Roe V. Wade. As someone who is pro-abortion, I agree that it should be legal, but I think Roe V. Wade was not constitutionally sound. Great liberal legal minds have agreed on this point.

as for the income tax...if you like it, that's your problem.

Did you mean "Secession," because I'm still confused as to how you got Succession?...

that's a nasty typo...yes i meant secession...

Anyway, I don't like Roe v Wade myself, but there's little I can do about that. Secondly, Income Tax is necessary for the government to run.
